New SOCIETY 1 Song Used In MTV Show 'Death Valley'
September 20, 2011The new episode of "Death Valley", which aired last night (Monday, September 19),included a new track by SOCIETY 1, entitled "Breathe In Me". The song, which features Tina Guo, will be made available for free download on MTV.com in the "Death Valley" show section of the site where music from the episode is featured in the "Songs From The Show" tab. "Breathe In Me" will be available throughout the week and "Death Valley"'s Facebook and Twitter will also post and tweet about the song during the episodes when airing.
"Death Valley" is a show about vampires, werewolves and zombies mysteriously descending upon the streets of California's San Fernando Valley. It is a dark comedy that follows the cops that capture the monsters, and the camera crew that captures the cops.
"I love the concept of this show and to have a SOCIETY 1 track on there just makes a lot of sense to me," explains SOCIETY 1 vocalist Lord Zane. "There is a line in 'Breathe In Me' where I say, we will never escape from our fire-induced fate, and I can just imagine the cops in the show feeling like this especially considering the San Fernando Valley is so hot. If hell was going to break loose with monsters anywhere, I think the Valley would be the epicenter."
In other SOCIETY 1-related news, the band just made 300 pre-release signed copies of its new album, "A Journey From Exile", available through Society1music.com. The limited edition of the disc has two bonus tracks and after purchasing another two are made available through download.
